Hailing from Fort Smith, Arkansas, as a military spouse, Michelle earned her Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Hawaii in 2011, while her husband was stationed at Pearl Harbor.

In 2013, Michelle began her accounting career at small local accounting firms in Jacksonville, FL, where she took on a variety of projects including individual, business, and not for profit tax return preparation, sales tax preparation, payroll tax filings, IRS correspondence, bookkeeping, and government audits.

A licensed CPA since June 2015, Michelle also spent 2 years at a regional mid-size firm, where she expanded her business taxation and multi-state taxation knowledge base. Her client experience includes a wide range of business types, including real estate agents, law firms, healthcare services, engineering firms, and financial service providers. 

After the passing of her boss and mentor in 2024, Michelle launched her own firm, Pie Accounting Services, LLC.

Michelle is childfree by choice, and enjoys going to movies, home improvement projects, spending time with her dogs, and traveling with her husband of 20 years, Andrew.
